BreastScreen Queensland has been providing Queensland women with high quality, free breast cancer screening and assessment services for more than 30 years. The aim of this valuable program is to find breast cancer in its early stages when it is easier to treat, helping to ensure women have the best possible outcome following a diagnosis.
Women aged between 50 and 74 are recommended to attend a breast screen (screening mammogram) every two years. Women aged 40 and older can attend this free service.
A doctor’s referral is not required.
A visit to BreastScreen Queensland only takes around 15 minutes and could save your life. Eligible women can book an appointment online or phone 132 050.
